No-Bake Peanut Butter Keto Fat Bombs Recipe

I never liked the oily, coconut-heavy flavour of many traditional peanut butter fat bombs, so I developed my own version that tastes better and feels less like you’re eating straight coconut oil. They’re quick to make, rich in healthy fats, and work well as a small, satisfying keto-friendly snack or energy boost.

Keto-Friendly Peanut Butter

Start with a peanut butter that contains only peanuts (and optionally salt). For keto recipes it’s important to avoid added sugars or vegetable oils. Many natural peanut butters sold in supermarkets list just peanuts and salt on the label — those are ideal. Read ingredient lists and choose the purest option you can find for the cleanest flavour and best texture in these fat bombs.

Keto Energy Balls Recipe

These peanut butter energy balls are designed so they don’t turn into a greasy puddle if left at room temperature briefly. I coat each ball in desiccated coconut and add a little heavy cream to the mix to give the center more body and reduce the sticky, cloying mouthfeel that pure nut butter can sometimes produce.

If you prefer a slightly tangier, firmer texture, you can swap the heavy cream for cream cheese. That variation creates a creamier, denser ball with a familiar cream-cheese tang that pairs nicely with peanut butter. For a chocolate twist, fold in a teaspoon or two of unsweetened cocoa powder or dip the finished balls in melted sugar-free chocolate for peanut butter cups.

Below you’ll find the ingredient list and simple instructions. The method is intentionally straightforward: mix, form, roll, chill, and enjoy. I also include a few tips for storage, substitutions, and small variations so you can adjust the recipe to your taste and dietary needs.

Author: FatForWeightLoss (Aaron Day)

Prep: 15 minutes • Total: 15 minutes

Serves: 8 Balls

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Peanut Butter (natural, no added sugar or oils)
  • 2 Tbsp Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Flour
  • 2 Tsp Erythritol (or preferred powdered keto sweetener)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Shredded Coconut, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Combine the peanut butter, heavy cream, almond flour, erythritol, and coconut flour in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture is homogeneous and easy to shape. If it feels too wet, add a little more almond flour; if it’s too dry, add a splash more cream or a little more peanut butter.
  2. Scoop and roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon. Roll each ball in the shredded coconut so the exterior is lightly coated.
  3. Place the balls on a tray and chill in the refrigerator until firm. Serve chilled or straight from the fridge.

Notes & Tips

  • Substitutions: Use cream cheese instead of heavy cream for a firmer, tangier result. You can also use sunflower seed butter to make the recipe nut-free.
  • Sweeteners: Adjust the erythritol to taste, or use another granular sugar-free sweetener in an equivalent amount.
  • Storage: Keep the balls chilled in an airtight container. They are best served cold and will hold their shape in the refrigerator.
  • Variations: Add a pinch of sea salt, a drop of vanilla, or a teaspoon of cocoa powder for different flavours. For a chocolate coating, briefly dip chilled balls into melted sugar-free chocolate and re-chill.
