Creamy Mango Peach Agua Fresca

This creamy mango peach agua fresca is a refreshing fruit drink made with ripe mangoes, juicy peaches, cold water, a touch of vanilla, and chilled milk. The fruit is blended into a smooth, vibrant base, then poured over plenty of ice and finished with a slow stream of milk that creates a beautiful creamy layer on top.

It is naturally bright, sweet, and cooling, making it a perfect drink for warm days, casual gatherings, cookouts, brunches, or any time you want something fruity and easy to serve. Fresh mango and peach chunks are added to the pitcher, giving every glass a spoonful of soft, sweet fruit along with the smooth agua fresca.

The best part of this mango peach agua fresca recipe is how simple it is to customize. Use agave or sugar depending on what you have, and adjust the sweetness based on how ripe your fruit is. Very ripe mangoes and peaches will need less added sweetener, while firmer fruit may need a little more. Serve it immediately over ice for the freshest flavor and the prettiest layered look.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Pitcher
  • Measuring cups
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

For the Mango Peach Base:

  • 3 large ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed, with half for blending and half reserved for chunks
  • 3 large ripe peaches, peeled, with half for blending and half reserved for chunks
  • ¾–1 cup agave or sugar, plus more to taste
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 cups water

For the Pitcher:

  • 2 cups milk of choice, chilled
  • Lots of ice
  • Reserved fresh mango chunks
  • Reserved fresh peach chunks

Instructions

  • Prepare the fruit first. Peel and cube the mangoes, then peel and cut the peaches. Set aside half of the mango and peach pieces to use as fresh fruit chunks in the pitcher. Add the remaining mango and peaches to a blender with the agave or sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and cold water. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and pourable. Taste the base and adjust the sweetness only if needed.
  • Fill a large pitcher generously with ice. Pour the mango peach base over the ice. Slowly pour the chilled milk over the top so it floats above the fruit mixture and forms a creamy white layer. This simple step gives the drink its beautiful layered appearance, so avoid stirring right away if you want to show off the colors before serving.
  • Add the reserved mango and peach chunks to the pitcher, spooning them generously over the top. When ready to serve, stir everything together gently so the milk, fruit base, and fresh fruit pieces are evenly combined. Pour into glasses over ice and serve immediately while the agua fresca is cold, creamy, and refreshing.

Notes

  • Use the ripest mangoes and peaches you can find. Ripe fruit gives this creamy mango peach agua fresca a stronger natural sweetness, a smoother texture, and a brighter flavor, which means you may not need as much added sugar or agave.
  • Start with the lower amount of sweetener, then taste the blended base before adding more. Fruit sweetness can vary, so adjusting gradually helps keep the drink fresh and balanced rather than overly sweet.
  • Pour the milk slowly if you want the layered presentation. Letting the milk float on top before stirring makes the pitcher look especially pretty when served to guests.
  • For an extra cold texture, freeze some of the reserved mango and peach chunks before adding them to the pitcher. They will help chill the drink while adding more fruit to each glass.
  • Serve this agua fresca right after assembling for the best flavor, texture, and appearance. The ice keeps it cold, the fruit chunks stay fresh, and the creamy mango peach base remains smooth and refreshing.
