What is the Only Gluten Free Recipes blog?
If you’re new to Only Gluten Free Recipes (OGFR), our recipes are designed for simplicity and speed—most require about 15 minutes of hands-on prep. Each recipe link takes you directly to that recipe’s full instructions and nutritional details, so you can quickly decide what to make.
Our recipes suit cooks at every level, from beginners to experienced chefs. Wherever possible we avoid refined sugar and favor healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil. In 2019 we added an instant pot category, and the instant pot recipes quickly became favorites—expect more gluten-free instant pot recipes in the future.
Since launching in 2014 we’ve grown steadily and now host well over a thousand gluten-free recipes spanning cuisines such as Thailand, Eastern Europe, India, Mexico and Italy. This post highlights the most downloaded and best-loved gluten-free recipes of 2019.
Gluten-free products
The gluten-free market has expanded rapidly, making it far easier to find gluten-free ingredients than it was a decade ago. One area to pay attention to is gluten-free flour blends: while a convenient all-purpose gluten-free flour can simplify baking, blends vary widely in ingredients. Some include dairy, so they are not suitable for vegan or dairy-free diets.
For that reason, on each recipe I recommend the flour blend that produced the best results in testing. Substituting a different blend may change texture and flavor. I also avoid blends that include bean flours in my baking, as those didn’t work well in our recipes.
If you have questions about ingredients or substitutions, please email me via the contact page and I’ll respond as soon as possible—I always enjoy hearing from readers.
